Biography:

Born in the bustling town of Bristol, James Monroe wanted to serve on board a ship since he was just seven years old. He landed his dream job years (and lots of diligent work) later when he made his acquaintance with Captain David Turner. When he was the first man in the water after one of his fellows who had fallen in and couldn’t swim, Turner subsequently made him his first mate.

James Monroe is a quiet character who is immediately attracted to the feminine Alexandria Luray. He cares about his family at home, his captain, and the crew members he is responsible for. He was leery about accepting the odd contract from Geoffrey Pierce, but will be surprised with what it will throw at him.
