Biography:

Growing up in a family with three other children, a kind, nurturing mother, and a stubborn, hard-working father, David Turner had a wonderful childhood. When he was of age, he joined the royal navy. After being a sailor for the crown for several years, he met a sweet woman by name of Tabitha Shoemaker. They, however, have yet to marry though they’ve been dear friends since their acquaintance.

He met a man named Bartholomew Luray in 1639 during his training. They became fast friends and, to this day, Turner considers him his oldest, truest friend. Receiving a contract request from Geoffrey Pierce about the venture they wished to embark on intrigued him and since he was between jobs, he agreed to take the crew out on their unusual voyage.
